Holidays in Surrey

With easy access to London, Surrey is a great place to enjoy a break.  Whether it’s the cobbled shopping streets of Guildford, the historic market town of Dorking, or one of the many small towns and villages, there are plenty of places to choose to base your holiday.
The countryside of the Surrey Hills – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – offers many fantastic walking opportunities, and at the highest point of South East England, the views at Leith Hill are truly stunning.  The North Downs Way passes from Farnham to Canterbury, Kent and takes in many picturesque villages en route.
Another designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is Hindhead Commons and the Devil’s Punch Bowl.  Abundant in wildlife, and spectacular in scenery it is a wonderful area to enjoy a picnic or a leisurely stroll.
With a number of National Trust attractions in the county, there are many places of which to enjoy the English countryside.  Or if you are more of a thrill seeker, a visit to either Chessington World of Adventures or Thorpe Park will not disappoint.
Trains from either Guildford, Dorking or Redhill take from just 30-50 minutes to London, so it is easy to take a day trip to our country’s capital.
