Holidays in Kent

In the South East corner of England, the county of Kent, quite rightly known as the “Garden of England” has an array of scenic gardens and attractions for visitors to enjoy.
Aside from its selection of gardens, the sandy beaches also offer great areas to explore and enjoy the fresh air. Packed with rural villages, country pubs and market towns, Kent in many ways still conveys a feeling of a traditional and unspoilt way of life.
The resorts of Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs are a great place to base a family holiday.  With museums and galleries too, these resorts offer a contemporary feel and are enjoyed by couples and families alike. From Hythe the coast is more open and increasingly spectacular as you head towards the edge of Romney Marsh and on to Dungeness, an almost barren landscape that has irs own mysterious beauty.
The historic city of Canterbury, with its impressive cathedral, is a fascinating place to visit. It's very much a cosmopolitan city with plenty of walking tours allowing you to explore all the city has to offer.
Inland Kent has several excellent vineyards, such as Meopham Valley and Biddenden. The county is also home to Britain's oldest brewer, Shepherd Neame which of course means tours and samples!
