Holidays in Hampshire

With half of the county covered by the National Parks of the New Forest and the start of the South Downs, Hampshire is a glorious county for enjoying outdoor pursuits.  Miles of footpaths, cycle trails, woodland, open heathlands and forests are complemented with pretty villages, chocolate box cottages and really good food.
Don’t miss the annual New Forest Show which takes place in July each year, in the village of Brockenhurst.
Thoughts of the New Forest conjures up images of pretty, rustic villages with rural thatched cottages. The villages of Lymington, Lyndhurst and Burley are all typical of the slow paced New Forest way of life, a perfect place to relax with an ice cream in the sunshine.  The larger market town of Ringwood is an excellent base for those wishing to explore the area.
The cathedral city of Winchester is full of history, and also a haven for shopping and dining.  With street theatre, open air events, and busy farmers’ markets, it is a sociable bustling city, much enjoyed by visitors young and old.  Nearby attractions include Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium, Marwell Wildlife and of course, Winchester Cathedral.
